The cookbook industry has changed dramatically in the last ten years. Newer books are providing higher quality photographs and better recipes every year. Our selection reflects the eclectic tastes of our customers and we are always looking for new books to meet that expectation.  Some of our newer cookbooks follow.

Signature Restaurant Books

Galatoire’s Cookbook – From Bourbon Street in the French Quarter comes Galatoire’s Cookbook. Galatoire’s is a creole restaurant that was established in 1897 and was a favorite of Tennessee Williams. This beautiful cookbook has recipes for 140 of Galatoire’s signature dishes, based on traditional New Orleans cuisine. Local seafood, tradition, inspired recipe selection -what’s not to like?

Magnolias – This is the second cookbook  produced by Charleston’s Magnolias restaurant head chef Donald Barickman. The fifty recipes contained within explore traditional Southern cuisine of the classic “lowcountry” style.

Morton’s the Cookbook – Steak aficionados don’t need to be brought up to speed about Morton’s, the legendary Chicago steakhouse. The hundred tasty recipes inside reflect Morton’s dedication to that most American of dinners, the steak.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que – This collection comes from a popular roadhouse in Syracuse that specializes in “Honky Tonk Bar-B_Que.” The business was formed by motorcycle enthusiasts and grew up as a mobile business before settling in their current downtown location.

TV Personalities

Giada’s Kitchen and Giada at Home – Giada De Laurentiis is a very popular Food Network star who rose to prominence through her catering business. Her style is modern Italian-American cuisine and is directed here at visually appealing food (in Giada’s Kitchen) and her personal choices (At Home).

Barefoot Contessa At Home and Barefoot Contessa Parties! – these two lovely books come from Ina Garten, proprietor of a Hamptons gourmet food store and Foot Network personality, and detail both intimate recipes and fun party spreads respectively.
