Celebrating Anniversaries

Regardless if you are currently engaged, would like to be, or have been married for years, we all know wedding anniversaries are extremely special. After all, a wedding anniversary marks the continuation of a couple’s commitment to one another.

Anniversaries recently came up, when friend of mine sent out an email to a handful of her friends asking for gift ideas for her one year wedding anniversary. My husband and I have been married for about a year and a half, so the anxiety of what to give your husband on this momentous occasion definitely hit home. It also prompted me to wonder about the traditions surrounding wedding anniversaries.

While some choose to celebrate with a quite dinner, others might choose to have a party or take a trip. Whichever option you choose, each and every wedding anniversary deserves to be celebrated in a memorable way. Taking a little time to smell the roses and reflect on your wedding day is a great way to renew your commitment to your partner.

When it comes to exchanging anniversary gifts, there are a variety of traditions. While gift giving is not limited to the first ten wedding anniversaries, we have listed traditional, modern and alternate gift options for your first through tenth wedding anniversaries.*
